Ranch Engagement Photography – Hermiston, OR

When a bride is so in love with her fiance’s family ranch that she wants to have her wedding there and take her engagement portraits there, you say yes and happily drive 4 hours for the session.
Lillie and Cody are a cute couple with an adorable 1 year old son. Josh and I met them on the family ranch and started with family photos of all of three of them. Even though he only lasted a few minutes for photos, I’m so glad we captured these casual family photos for them!
I loved seeing the ranch where the wedding will be held. I have so many ideas for their photos that will be different and compliment these ones. My favorite part was watching the cattle interact with us. They were so funny! Any time we would stop for photos, they would move a little closer. If we looked up at them, off they would run. Who knew cows had such big personalities.
After photos at the family ranch, we went to the near by Hat Rock State Park in Hermiston, OR. The setting could not have been more perfect for their sunset photos. We saw some geese who photo bombed our photos and gave the images a little extra romance. After hiking a little ways up, we had gorgeous views and perfect sunset light.
