Heather and Matthew gathered with their closest friends and family at a home along the river in Sunriver, Oregon for their intimate wedding. Their elopement was more like a traditional wedding than most that I photograph. With only 2 hours, I captured details, getting ready photos, beautiful portraits of everyone as well as plenty of candids to help them relive their day.
I absolutely love the back of Heather’s dress and that gorgeous lace detail. Somehow, before I arrived, I just knew that the back of her dress would be amazing! One of my favorite details was the blue ring that she borrowed. I also loved the pearl necklace that her grandmother let her wear.
I had so much fun getting to know Heather and Matthew on their wedding day. They were such a sweet couple! I know everyone had a great time celebrating on a rainy Oregon wedding day because everyone was laughing and smiling the entire time. We did manage to avoid the rain for most of the time I was with them!
Heather and Matthew,
Thank you for letting me join in the fun and capture your beautiful day for you! Rain is good luck so I know you are going to have an amazing adventure together as a married couple. If your day was any indication of your marriage, then you guys will have a marriage filled with joy and love!
They planted a tree to watch grow as their marriage grows!
I love when couples truly take time to enjoy their day and spend time with their guests.
Bethany and Nick were so much fun to hang out with! During the session, I leaned over to Josh and said, “I love these people!” 🙂 We bonded over our 2020 Ireland trips being canceled- theirs was especially sad since the proposal was to happen in Ireland on the cliffs of Moher. We also bonded over Belize as the honeymoon destination. I tried to give them some tips and ideas to make the most of their time in Belize without getting eaten by the mosquitos. Basically, they are awesome people and I’m so excited for their wedding day, which is just around the corner.
These two were seriously meant to be. Once they met, they realized that they had a lot of the same friends. Prior to actually meeting each other, they had even been in the same house on the same day, missing each other by just a few moments. So, even though they didn’t meet through friends, it was just a matter of time before they were brought together by fate.
We chose the beautiful Dillon Falls trial in Bend, Oregon for their engagement session because they love the outdoors. This location has river, fields, mountains and forests all within a 10 minute walk. It’s one of my favorite places and served as the perfect location for Bethany and Nick.
I have to say, I love the colors they chose too! Soft tones are always my favorite. I love how the pink and blue pop off the green and yellow tones backdrop. Also, I’m obsessed with Bethany’s Nordstrom Rack lace dress. I think I need to get it!
Bethany and Nick,
Josh and I are so excited for your wedding day. We can’t wait to see you walk down the aisle and start your lives together.

A little behind the scenes of me at work!
This gorgeous Smith Rock engagement session was planned for the perfect day! The sun was shining and the wind was blowing, making it not too hot for a hike into the valley. I absolutely LOVE Smith Rock because everywhere you go is so beautiful. Erin and Chris loved it for their session because they have spent many hours exploring the trails that wind through the beautiful rocky cliffs. It really is the best place to enjoy nature and let your love grow!
Erin and Chris were so easy to connect with! They are very fun, sweet and easy going, which meant Josh could take a little step back from photographing them and take a few extra behind-the-scenes photos of me in action. So in this post you will see a few extra of me at an engagement session and what I’m shooting while Josh was shooting me 🙂
Erin and Chris,
We had such a fun time getting to know you two and Cali. I hope you love your photos as much as I do! I can’t wait for your wedding day (I really want to see Cali walk down that isle too)!!

I love this photo above!! Below is me giving the direction before they started walking.
Sweet Cali girl and mom snuggles!
When a bride is so in love with her fiance’s family ranch that she wants to have her wedding there and take her engagement portraits there, you say yes and happily drive 4 hours for the session.
Lillie and Cody are a cute couple with an adorable 1 year old son. Josh and I met them on the family ranch and started with family photos of all of three of them. Even though he only lasted a few minutes for photos, I’m so glad we captured these casual family photos for them!
I loved seeing the ranch where the wedding will be held. I have so many ideas for their photos that will be different and compliment these ones. My favorite part was watching the cattle interact with us. They were so funny! Any time we would stop for photos, they would move a little closer. If we looked up at them, off they would run. Who knew cows had such big personalities.
After photos at the family ranch, we went to the near by Hat Rock State Park in Hermiston, OR. The setting could not have been more perfect for their sunset photos. We saw some geese who photo bombed our photos and gave the images a little extra romance. After hiking a little ways up, we had gorgeous views and perfect sunset light.
Lillie and Cody,
We had so much fun getting to know you guys and we can’t wait for the wedding. You two are made for each other!
I had so much fun getting to know this gorgeous family! Not only were they super easy going, but did you see their perfectly coordinating outfits? I am obsessed with Heather’s hats and sweet little Paisley’s dress. So modern and old fashioned at the same time!
Heather and her man are just about to celebrate 20 years of marriage. It’s so exciting!! We took so many photos of the two of them (and their dog) to document this time. They will also use these photos to send to their friends & family in celebration.
Ally and her family are goat farmers, which if you are aware of my weird obsession with goats, then you know I think this is pretty awesome. I’m really hoping to photograph a family session of just their family at the farm with all the sweet baby goats this spring!
Of course we couldn’t leave out mom and dad! I love capturing photos of all the couples as well of just the kiddos. I feel like those photos tell the whole story of the family through the generations.
The only hiccup (besides the freezing temps) was mom’s glasses. It was so darn bright out that her glasses wanted to stay super dark in sunglass mode. But we came up with creative ways to get them to go lighter.
To the Srch-Thaden Family,
Thank you for letting me capture these memories of your family together! I love how magical the day felt with the frozen water and geese. Thank you gus for having such great attitudes. I had so much fun and I hope you enjoy your photos!!

When Tobey decided he wanted to get some new headshots for his dating profiles, he reached out. One of his awesome friends had me photograph her headshots last year, so Tobey knew I would be a great fit as his photographer.
It was a bit cold and snowy the day of his session, but we totally made his headshot session work at Hollinshead Park in Bend, Oregon. We even bonded over Las Vegas stories and our love for travel. I love getting to know my clients as we hang out and get awesome photos!
We were going for fun, relaxed headshots for his dating profile, but also a few serious images for his construction business website. The boss has to look good online! I love the way we captured different sides of his personality!
Thanks for hanging out in the snow with me and getting these fun headshots of you! I had fun!
Doesn’t Beth look gorgeous? Even not retouched, she’s glowing. It’s so much fun to be able to capture a women’s true beauty through a studio headshots session. I also love seeing my photos in use! Check out my shopping cart at the Bend, Oregon Fred Meyer! There are so many ways to use your headshot…
