Sparks Lake

Keena and I have been planing their family session for months and I think it totally paid off! Their family photography session at Sparks Lake in Central Oregon was perfect! I LOVE this setting so much and Keena’s flowy pink dress provided a little bit of grace that matched the peaceful setting.

Not only were we able to get beautiful family portraits of Keena, Juan and their new little son, but were able to grab a few family portraits with their dog Ellie too!

Their extended family even came with them to grab a few gorgeous photos of everyone with the baby. It was a beautiful evening at the lake and I just love all the photos!

Kenna and family,

I am so happy to have been the one to create these beautiful memories for you! I love the photos and I hope you do too. I can’t wait to see Braxton grow up.

Shevlin Park

Megan and Garrett have been in love since high school! Now they have two beautiful little ones – a perfect family. I met them at Shevlin Park during golden hour for a quick family session. It was insanely beautiful that night, I mean, look at this setting! Amazing!

We had so much fun checking out the area together. Shevlin Park is one of my favorite places to photograph families for a lot of reasons. One is that when I photograph kids and we can keep moving and exploring, they tend to not get as bored. That was exactly the case for these two. They were so excited to end at the pond that I stayed and got a few fun candids of the kiddos at the end!

This session is full of beautiful family portraits, fun candid moments and so much love. I can’t believe this is less than half of their photos!

Megan and Garrett,

Thank you so much for having great attitudes, smiling and having fun. It was so amazing to get to know you guys. Your kids are seriously cute! I know you are going to cherish these memories forever.

Family Land

When everyone comes together to celebrate Mom and Dad’s new home, you just have to get portraits! Pronghorn Resort is one of the most amazing places to live and building a home their is no easy task. Morgan knew that this is a big deal, so she decided to gift her parents a photography session to capture the joy.

We had a lot of fun playing on the tractor and creating memories in their new space. We even captured a photo at the front door which Morgan thought would be fun to hang in a frame by the front door once it is built.

Typically, I like to create perfect images out in nature without the construction zone. In this case, the construction was what made the memories.

We only spent about 35 minutes photographing these super fun family memories. I even captured a toast at the end!

To Morgan and her family,

It was so much fun to get to know you guys and to celebrate with you! This is such an exciting time. I can’t wait to see the house complete! Thank you again for letting me capture the joy for you.

Such a fun story about their new little pup: all three families have a pup from the same litter! All the dogs get to grow up together. How fun is that?

After opting opt earlier, when Morgan saw the other couples posing she finally decided she wanted couples photos too! Their sweet little girl wanted photos with flowers that matched her outfit – how could I say no!
Because I always wanted a photo of me and my cousins in the country on a pile of tires. I just had to 🙂

Family, Puppy, Headshots

I love referrals because they always end up being the most amazing families to work with. That was so true with Jennifer and her family! They came to Bend to get away from the busy city life and relax in the fresh mountain air. Knowing Bend is one of their favorite places to visit, Jennifer decided she would like to get family portraits done while in town. I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to work with them because we captured so many beautiful memories!

I love the photos of everyone just hanging out together and laughing. The little moments of the kids playing and being together are priceless too! Of course I had to get a ton of photos of their new little puppy, Chewie as well as portraits of everyone. Not only did I get a few images of just mom and dad together, but I ended the session with some headshots for them to use for their business.

In just 50 minutes we captured over 200 beautiful lake front portraits and candids of their family at Sparks Lake.

Jennifer, Pascal and kids,

Thank you for letting me create these memories for you. I can’t wait to see them on your wall. I know you will cherish these for a lifetime. You guys were so great!

Dawne

Some women in our generation are truly remarkable.  I believe Dawne may be one of them. After 20 years of working in the auto sales industry she is taking things into her own hands and starting a new business. Dawne is changing the way that people buy automobiles. It’s women like Dawne who change the world, one system at a time, and make the world a better place.

I had an opportunity today to photograph this beautiful Californian woman. She is such a fun girl we had a great time photographing outside and in her house and capturing some really casual fun photos as well as some beautiful naturally lit headshots. It was easy, fun and all these photos really show off who she is.

I often find that I’ve taken way more photos that I love than I have promised to my client. I’m showing her best 50 images here, but I gave about 3 times that many. I make so much more work for myself by not editing them down, but it’s totally worth it when I can give my client a ton of beautiful photos.

Dawne,

I hope these images help you to see how beautiful you are! I know you are going do amazing things with this new business and I am so thankful to have met you and to be part of your journey. And seriously, let me know if you want to share a bottle of wine around bonfire and do some California dreaming.

Bethany + John

John and Bethany are such a beautiful couple! They met in high school and were friends for a long time before eventually realizing that what they were looking for was right there in front of them. They live in the Bay Area so planning this engagement session was a little challenging. The first time the session was planned, Covid-19 got in the way. When they rescheduled their trip back home for the 4th of July, I made sure to make room for their engagement session.

They chose Shevlin Park for their engagement portrait location. Bethany and John actually met in high school while running. They’ve spent a lot of time running together on the trails through Shelvin Park so this place holds a special place in their heart. I love when couples choose places that are meaningful to them for the engagement photos – it gives me the warm and fuzzies.

I really love how these photos turned out and I’m super happy Josh and I didn’t have any trouble with wearing masks during their session.

Bethany and John,

I hope you love your photos! You guys are such a great couple and really enjoyed getting to know you more. I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding and a start to a beautiful marriage.

This amazing moment happened while we were finishing up the session! A falcon (is it a falcon?), swopped down and grabbed a fish out of the pond right in front us. My photo hunting kicked in and I started grabbing a few shots of the bird in flight! This magic moment must be good luck for my couple, right?

Connor

Connor is totally my kind of guy! He was so much fun to hang out with. While Conner doesn’t live in Central Oregon, Connor and his family travel to Sunriver for vacation often. As a lover of Oregon plants and agriculture, it was important to Connor to have photo taken in this beloved land. What better place than Shelvin Park for lots of landscapes, plant backdrops and so much more.

Connor,

I know your social media feeds are going to look so fun with these branding/lifestyle headshots and portraits. I hope you had as much fun as I did during your session. You are an awesome guy and I really enjoyed getting to know you.

Marsha

Marsha was so sweet and so much fun to work with. She asked for a lifestyle branding/headshot session to capture some fun and casual images that she could use for dating sites. So guys, please note that this beautiful lady is single and whoever she falls for will be lucky.

The goal was to capture fun images that showed off her personality while being casual. Oh, and we wanted to get a great headshot. Almost every client of mine starts the session by mentioning that they aren’t comfortable in front of the camera and Marsh said this too! I love the extra challenge, although in this case it was easy to capture beautiful portraits because she really is gorgeous.

We had fun chatting about her love for dogs and so much more. I’m so happy to have had this opportunity to capture this amazing woman.

Marsha,

Thank you for letting me capture a these photos of you. I hope you love these photos as much as I do. I know you are going to find a guy as an awesome as you so don’t settle!

Bend Family Photography

When Angelina asked if I would photograph her family while her daughter was in town, she also she mentioned she wanted to include the dogs, alpacas and the llamas if possible. I couldn’t help but be excited. These are all my favorites animals to photograph!

When I arrived at their property in Tumalo, Oregon, everyone was excited! We wondered around the property looking for the best spots for their family photos before the fun started. I was able to capture some really beautiful family photos on the lawn and along a back road. I think my favorites were the casual family photos with the alpacas. I love how they photo bombed the portraits!

Angie,

You are so sweet and I always enjoy photographing you! Thank you for letting me capture these beautiful family memories for you. I hope they will bring you joy always!
