“Marriage is surviving that relationship each day and still loving each other enough to say I love you at night” – Hailey
Hailey and Nate met at work where they became friends and developed a great base for their relationship. Eventually they started dating and Nate knew she was the one after just a few dates. He told Hailey he would wait for her as long as she needed to say yes. They’ve been together for 5 years and finally joined there two families together in Sisters, Oregon at FivePine Resort.
While enjoying the beautiful waterfalls along the South Fork of the John Day River, Nate pulled out a ring and proposed to Hailey on Christmas Eve. As a second marriage for both Nate and Hailey, they were thinking a small wedding with just close family and friends would be enough to share their love. However, Hailey’s grandparents stepped in. Having been their for Hailey throughout her life like parents, they wanted their Hailey to have a magical wedding.
Hailey’s grandmother took care of almost all of the planning for her and did an amazing job! Wanting a simple fall themed wedding in the woods, they chose the FivePine Resort in Sisters, Oregon for the stunning setting. With warm tones of reds, oranges and candle light sprinkled throughout the day, her grandmother created the perfect fall wedding for the couple. She even handmade the candles and the soap gifts for the guests.
Hailey said, “We are building a home together and manage a small 300+ acre hobby farm, this brings you close together. If you can survive building a home and what is thrown at you with farm life, then you can endure anything.”
Hailey and Nate,
It was so wonderful to get to know you guys! Hailey, as moms of boys, I feel like we’ve bonded 🙂 I can’t wait to photograph your whole family again. We loved getting to know your friends and family and seeing how much love you have in your life. I hope you continue to cherish the love around you and keep enduring and enjoying life together!

“My dress was purchased from Blueberry Boutique in the tri-cities. Due to the COVID pandemic, entering a dress shop was prohibited. However, we waited until their was a guideline lifted and, though it takes months to order the exact dress, I was able to purchase one from the store I could take home. It was a very special experience. My Grandfather purchased my dress and my Grandmother was with me when it was chosen. My Grandfather makes sure we girls look and feel beautiful.” – Hailey
It’s so fun to see Nate having a blast with Hailey’s sons!
One of the sweet girls at the wedding created a little bracelet and something blue for both the bride and the groom. I’ve actually never seen a groom have a something borrowed, something blue and something new before. Nate had them all – this was a first for me!
“We have laughed a lot in the last day, as Nate experienced a unforgettable change in his hairstyle. He went for a trim and was given a clean shave of his whole head. There really isn’t a fix at this point and again we have just decided that it isn’t what is the most important thing about our day…these are the reasons we get through everything” – Hailey.
I love the attitude Hailey has. the most important thing as that they share love and she definitely kept that as a focus!
Sweet father-daughter moments are the best!
Hailey’s 93 year old Grandpa was a huge part of her day and has been a huge part of her life since her mother passed away when she was young. We had to celebrate this special time with a sweet first look between them just before the ceremony.
Hailey’s grandmother often makes handmade soaps for the family. When it came to the wedding day, this seemed like the perfect gift to give to the guests. They are so beautiful!
Hailey’s grandmother handmade these mercury glass candle holders. Every one is unique and absolutely stunning. Didn’t she do an amazing job?
I love candids! Especially when we can capture moments of joy with kids, grandkid, grandparents and best friends from kindergarten like in these fun photos!
Their musical-star friend played a few songs to celebrate their day. She also played at Hailey’s grandparents wedding years ago so this was an extra special performance on their wedding day.
Me and the bride! It was a blast celebrating you guys!
