McKenzie and Austin met in grad school at the University of Oregon over their love for Architecture. They kept bumping into each other in the halls. After a late night school work session, they would get coffee together and chat. When they finally went on a date, it lasted all day as they enjoyed how much they had in common. They love to explore Oregon, hike, golf, try new restaurants and new recipes at home. “We love nothing more than spending a relaxing night, talking and cooking together.” – McKenzie.
After visiting Ranch at the Canyons, they were blown away with the views of Smith Rock and the Tuscan Stables. It was the perfect venue for their fun and elegant wedding.
On the morning of their romantic Central Oregon wedding at Ranch at the Canyons in Terrebonne, the smoke from the wildfires began to roll in. While the smoke can be a pain, it actually helped keep the heat down and made everything glow beautifully.
“Marriage to us means lifelong friendship, trust, and commitment. We know that we can always rely on each other for whatever life brings us. We are each other’s best friends.” – McKenzie

“When I went dress shopping I was looking for a dress that was simple and elegant. I don’t like a lot of embellishment so I was looking for a comfortable and no embellishment gown. I found the perfect dress at Bespoke Bride in Bend, Oregon. It was only my second time dress shopping but my whole family and my future mother in law came to enjoy the appointment. After much debate between ballgown and fitted style (and many laughs and jokes), I finally settled on a lovely fitted crepe dress from Alyssa Kristin Bridal. It fit my personality perfectly and I felt beautiful on my wedding day.” – McKenzie
