The Waters’s family connected with me for a family mini session at the field near by. I’m so glad they were referred by neighbors and friends because they were truly a delight to work with! They hadn’t had family photos taken in over 3 years, so it was the perfect time to capture new memories for their crew. We wandered around the field, got chased down by a cat, and relaxed and had fun. I just love these family photos and I know they are going to look amazing in their home!
To the Waters Family,
Thank you so much for letting me capture these memories for you! You guys feel like family and I had so much fun with you guys. I hope you can cherish these special moments for a life time! Thank you!
I absolutely love when families come together for the holidays to spend time with one another. The Scalas family came to Bend for Thanksgiving from all over, including New Zealand!! When family literally flies across the world to be together, family photographs are a must! One of my favorite things at a family reunion session is capturing all the cousins with Grandma and Grandpa… so after one group photo I got the kids to cuddle their grandparents. It was so sweet! Of course we photographed each family together as well as the cousins together and kids on their own. These kids were so cute. It’s fun to be outside in a beautiful location for photos, even if the kids get distracted and want to play in the nature, I mean, who wouldn’t? I love all the natural smile of these kiddos. I ended their session with a special parent time to capture beautiful photographs of the parents together – it’s not all about the kids. The main stars of this session are their amazing group portraits. Everyone has natural smiles, laughter and you can see that they are all very happy to be together!
Shevlin Park is one of my favorite places to photograph families. There are so many options right at the parking lot, which makes it super easy to get a ton of variety in a short amount of time. For the Lucas family, with little 5 year old Keagan, I wanted to make sure we didn’t tire him out by running all around to take photos. Instead, we chose Shevlin Park and we easily got a ton of beautiful photos for their family. My favorite part of their session was focusing on the sweet relationship between brother and sister. Are they not the cutest? their photos were perfect for their holiday card this year and their 20×30 wood print looks amazing hanging in their living room!
I am so honored to have taken baby Titus’s first portraits. We have been praying for him to come into Paul and Ashley’s life for years and now we get to enjoy his amazing smile all the time! It was so much fun to sneak out for this short session to capture great photos of their family to remember this special time. I can’t wait for the next session!
I love these family photos. This field is one of my favorite locations in Bend. It’s where we had our family photos taken too! These kids are so adorable. Even though it was a bit cold out, we still had a great time playing with bubbles and running around for photos.
I met up with the Hagen family at Shevlin Park in Bend, Oregon for their family portraits. I love the outfits they chose and how well they coordinate with each other. The kids did a great job following directions too!
Every family needs a great portrait to remember the years gone by, especially when the kid are young. This year we went out to a park in Paso Robles with Josh’s sister to take our photos. It was freezing and poor Caleb cried the whole time, but we were still able to take some amazing family portraits. Josh’s sister is not a photographer, but I helped pose us and guide her through taking the photos. With just a little guidance and some retouching the photos came out great.
Let me know if you want to learn how to take great portraits of your family. I’ll be teaching classes starting in 2013.
