Westlake Village, CA Wedding

Kathryn + Matthew

Venue: Private Residence / Dress: Lulus / Catering: Made In Italy Bistro / Bride’s Ring: Costco / Groom’s Ring: Kay Jewelers / Rentals: Evelyn’s Party Rentals / Cake: Delicious Bakery

Matt and Kathryn met in college and, let me just tell you how cute Matt was! He saw her waiting for class and approached her to ask if he could show her where his class was. Kathryn is a sweet person so of course she walked him to his class. During the walk, Matt made her laugh more than anyone she had ever know. Kathryn later found out that he wasn’t lost all, but was looking for an excuse to talk to her.

Their relationship has been easy from the start. They both love hiking, traveling and sports. It felt to Kathryn that he was a long lost friend. A few years in, they decided to buy a house together, which was a stressful process that strengthen their relationship.

They also bought a season pass to Disneyland together just a few months into dating. Kathryn says she knew he was the one when it started to snow on Main Street after the holiday fireworks and her kissed her. It was is magical!

I never found out why they chose the holiday theme for their wedding, but I have a feeling that magical moment at Disneyland may have been part of the reason.

Kathryn and Matt got married at a private residence which was perfect for their close friends and family together. They decked the halls, and outside, with holiday wreathes and florals that Kathryn made herself.

Their favorite piece of their wedding was the hot chocolate bar for the guests! Everyone truly enjoyed it! I loved that she had a snowy exit to their wedding as well as a sparkler exit to the night!

Kathryn and Matt,

I hope you guys loved your Disney World honeymoon. I can’t wait for you to dive into your wedding photos to relive the day. May your home now be your happiest place on Earth!

“Marriage is someone you can raise your pups with! Someone who is loyal, is interested in the same things you are, who’s uninterested in the same things you are, a forever best friend. Coming home to a house full of love, happiness, understanding. Being yourself, and able to learn and grow; someone who makes you your best self and accepts the not so best parts of you. COMMUNICATION!!!” – Kathryn
