Alex and Emily met years ago through Emily’s best friend, who happened to be cousins with Alex. While they were just friends for awhile, eventually they had their first date, which started with Alex introducing Emily to his mother. It wasn’t your standard introduction either. As a guy with a good sense of humor and a sarcastic flair he said, “Hey Mom, this is Emily. She’s a dancer, but she says that it’s just to pay for school.”
Emily was embarrassed at first, but quickly drew close to him and came to love his jokes. Their relationship has gone through many ups and downs, school, a move to Alabama and Alex was right there by Emily’s side when her mother passed away from cancer. They have been through a lot and have always found joy together. It was never a question of if they would spend forever together, but when that chapter would start.
One beautiful day, on their anniversary, Alex planned a trip to the beach. Sensing this might be the night, Emily got dressed up, enjoyed a romantic dinner, champagne and… he didn’t ask. The next morning they sipped coffee together and went for a drive to the beach where they found the area empty, romantic and perfect for a walk together… and perfect for a proposal.
For their wedding, Emily wanted a mountain Oregon wedding in an elegant fairy garden. The wedding was just that! With flowers everywhere and little candle touches, the entire venue was filled with those sweet fairy garden touches.
