“Marriage to me means partnership and supporting someone through whatever comes.” – Lindsey
Lindsey and Tyler said their vows on Sunday at the Sunriver Great Hall with their closest friends and family from all over Northern America. Sunriver has been a special place for Lindsey for a long time. She grew up wth her family spending vacations in Sunriver. Knowing how much this location means to Lindsey, when Tyler proposed, he chose Sunriver as the setting. Just outside the lodge at sunset, Tyler got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. It was no surprise that Lindsey and Tyler chose this beautiful location for their wedding!
Lindsey and Tyler met through mutual friends in Washington DC where they both lived as they served our country. Lindsey worked for Senator Wyden. Tyler was an army ranger who served in Afghanistan. They have been together for over 5 years and have a sweet little puppy named Ranger who they wished could be part of the wedding day. They knew they couldnʼt bring him to the wedding so we did have him in the engagement session and he is just the sweetest thing. Here is their amazing engagement session in Arizona: https://kelliannejordan.com/2019/01/18/papago-park-engagement-session-arizona/
Lindsey had a number of different items with her to remember those who couldnʼt be with her. The ruby red necklace she wore around her neck once belonged to her grandmother. Her grandfather had given her grandmother a bracelet of jewels. When grandma passed away, grandpa broke the bracelet apart and turned each jewel into a necklace for the granddaughters. Lindsey wore this necklace around her neck and close to her heart for her wedding.
Lindseyʼs other grandmother had a special handkerchief made for Lindsey to catch her tears of joy. Lindsey also wore her grandmotherʼs garter around her leg as her something blue, borrowed and old.
Every detail of this wedding was elegant and classic with a touch of nature! I know Lindsey loves nature, but I donʼt think she expected as much nature as she got at her wedding. They say itʼs good luck if it rains on your wedding day. It started to rain just as we were photographing family photos. Thank goodness we could find refuge at the lodge. It only sprinkled a little during the ceremony, but everyone got an incredible lightening show just behind the bride and groom. I love lightening so it was a blast to see the storm in the distance with bolts coming down around us. It sure seemed like God was excited to see Lindsey and Tyler get married!
Jewish wedding celebrations are so much fun! There are so many amazing traditions that fill the wedding day with joy and love. Tyler was so excited to see his bride before the wedding. Through the day everyone could see how happy they both were, not just to finally be married, but to be surrounded with the most important people to them. Everyone had a blast celebrating!
Lindsey and Tyler, you two are so perfect together! We truly enjoyed getting to know you two and Ranger and canʼt wait to see what adventures you will go on next. Have an amazing time in Italy on your honeymoon! We wish you guys a lifetime of love and joy!! – Kellianne
Katie and Tony’s garden wedding in Independence, Oregon was filled with pink flowers, grey accents and a ton of fun! Seriously, the whole wedding party had a great time taking photos and hanging all throughout the day. The Green Villa Barn & Garden in Independence, Oregon was the most amazing setting for a fun-filled garden wedding.
The day started in the little white barn in the middle of the gardens where the bride and bridesmaids got ready. Katie was surrounded all morning with her best friends, sister, mother and mother-in-law. Everyone was so excited to be part of her day!
We decided to do their first look in the middle of the garden which was tricky but perfect. After taking a ton of photos with the flowers and the vintage lamp post I had to move them onto the swing. I just love their beautiful photos on the country swing with the mossy tree hanging low overhead. So amazing!!
After a few bride and groom photos we headed down into the trees. Katie had mentioned that she loved the tall trees with trunks showing in the photos and wanted a photo with them. After taking Katie and Tony down into the trees, I realized that this was the perfect spot for the wedding party photos too. I hadn’t seen it before because it was actually the parking lot. Seriously, who would have thought that the parking lot would be the best place for photos? We even had someone park in the middle of the grass when we left to grab the wedding party. It’s ok, they moved the car for us so we could capture beautiful wedding party photos!
The ceremony was held in the middle of the amazing garden greenery in a gazebo. Inside the gazebo was chandelier to give a touch of elegance to the ceremony. The flowers placed along the gazebo perfectly framed Katie and Tony as they said their vows. It was so sweet to see both moms tear up!
After the ceremony we were able to pull the extended family aside under a large willow tree to quickly capture some great family photos and allow them to get back to celebrating.
The entire wedding was about casually (yet beautifully) hanging out with friends and family and just enjoying each other’s company. Everyone had fun playing lawn games and dancing. I just love the custom Corn-hole game that was made for their wedding. They are going to love that for years!
I love these simple invitations the Katie made using their engagement photos from Black Butte Ranch. They are the sweetest couple and their love really shows through in their photos! Here’s their engagement session in case you missed it: https://kelliannejordan.com/2019/04/25/black-butte-ranch-engagement-photography-or/
Katie and Tony, no one deserves a perfect wedding filled with joy and love more than you do! I hope your wedding was everything you wished for! Thank you so much for letting us be part of it. Your friends and family are absolutely amazing. Josh and I know you guys are going to have a happy marriage!!
I love when brides wear flats on their wedding day! This pair by Kate Whitcomb even had a little sparkle!
The girls had so much fun with taking photos and hanging out before the wedding! It was so nice to have a place with air conditioning to get away from the heat. Although it was hot, it actually seemed to be the perfect summer day for a wedding.
This photo above was pretty much perfect when I shot it. I even stopped to show Katie and she loved it! I think she may have doubted me for a second since they were standing in dirt and weeds with some random farm equipment right next to us, but it really was perfect! I love how the leaves are gently framing Katie and Tony!
Katie asked that I pull the bridesmaids aside and capture special photos just for them. I thought it was so sweet of her to share her photo time with her bridesmaids. Katie is such an amazing person! I really hope they love their 5 minute mini session photos!
When we travel for weddings I always watch the weather channel. I’m slightly obsessed with storm watches. The morning of Emma and Kevin’s wedding we woke up and saw that everything outside was wet. So we turned on the trusty weather channel and saw that rain was in the forecast for the day. Not only that, but out of the entire continental US, Portland to Seattle was the only area that would get rain that day. Seriously, the entire map was orange and red except the tiny little spot of green we were. They say rain on your wedding is good luck, but being in the only place in the US to get rain has to be the most incredible luck a couple can have, right?
Emma and Kevin really wanted an outdoor space for their reception. Thank goodness they knew that having a covered area was essential to stay out of the heat and rain. “We looked at a few venues in Seattle and a few venues in Portland, but we are so happy that The Reserve worked out.” – Emma
Emma and Kevin met on Kevin’s annual family camping trip when they were still in high school. Sparks immediately began to fly around the campfire. Even though they both knew it was love at first sight, they waited a few years until the timing was right to begin dating. At Emma’s prom she realized she had found her partner for life.
They’ve built a life together, following each others dreams and making them a reality. They even adopted a sweet little puppy named Hank who came with us to their engagement session. Taking care of Hank helped them learn how great they are as a team.
After six years of dating, Kevin proposed on the top of Smith Tower, a historical building in Seattle. With the sun setting over the Olympic Mountains, Emma said,”The mountains look beautiful tonight!”. Kevin leaned over and said,”Not as beautiful as you.” That’s when he got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever! After saying, “YES!”, Emma wanted to call everyone to tell them the good news, but Kevin made her wait. When they arrived home Emma found herself surrounded by all her friends and family to celebrate!
For Emma, a wedding with a rustic, casual and classic theme was the dream. I think she nailed it with these beautiful blue wedding invitations. I love that the flowers for the entire wedding match the invites!
“Finding the dress was a stress-free process! I went to one bridal boutique with my mom to get an idea of what I wanted, and the next day, I went to two bridal stores with my mom, mother-in-law, and all of my bridesmaids. It was a really special day because at lunch, I asked all of the girls to be my bridesmaids.” – Emma
Charlotte’s Bridal in Beaverton, Oregon was the perfect place to find the perfect dress. Being right across the street from Emma’s old high school, this bridal shop had been on Emma’s radar for awhile. After trying on this dress and falling in love with train, she couldn’t imagine herself walking down the aisle in anything else!
Even though the downpour began right as we were heading out for their first look, no one got too wet. The Reserve has a few covered spaces which were all we needed to keep everyone dry and get amazing portraits of the wedding party.
“Marriage means engaging in a lifelong partnership of teamwork. Although we are definitely in the honeymoon phase of our lives right now, we know that life gets hard, but we are so grateful that we will have each other through those times. We are each other’s biggest supporters and strongest advocates. Our love for each other is eternal.” – Emma & Kevin
Every wedding Josh and I go to, I am reminded why I fell in love. I think they nailed it when they describe marriage as teamwork. The thing I am most grateful for in my marriage is having a partner who, no matter what, will support me and be my teammate. I know Emma and Kevin and going to have an amazing marriage! Congrats!
“Knowing you’ve got a best friend for life and someone who loves you for who you are is the best feeling in the world. There is no one I adore or cherish more in life and I cant wait to spend forever together. We accept each other, encourage one another to try new things and talk about everything.” – Christi
When we first met Christi and Cory, I knew we would get along. We had kids the same age and Christi and Josh both coached girls soccer. Also, I could see how much they have already grown together as a couple and as a family. I could see how much they truly love each other.
They are a couple who likes to try new things together and who love hiking, camping and anything outdoors. When they moved to Bend 2 years ago, they went out and tried something new. Smith Rock was the first place hiked together and was really the place they started their Bend adventure. Although they had some trouble deciding on a wedding location, Smith Rock quickly became the winner and now the place where they will start this new chapter of their life together.
The main thing Christi and Cory wanted for their wedding was to celebrate with the most important people in their lives. 31 of their friends and family surrounded them on their wedding day for an intimate ceremony overlooking Smith Rock State Park in Oregon. Cory’s daughter and grandson, as well as Christi and Cory’s son, stood with them at the altar to show that they are all coming together as a family. Christi said, “At the end of the day we realized we wanted to have a simple wedding here in Bend with the people that matter most to us”.
When the Bend Trolley meets you at Brasada Ranch to take your whole crew out to Smith Rock for the ceremony, of course you use it for your first look, right? The trolley provided a bright backdrop for Christi and Cory’s first look. Before they came around Christi sneaked a peek at Cory through the window to try to see her man waiting for her. After the first look the entire group piled into the trolley for a fun ride to Smith Rock for the ceremony and back again for the reception.
When we got to Smith Rock their was another wedding taking place in the spot we wanted to use for the ceremony. Both brides were very sweet to each other and even posed for a photo. t could have been super awkward, but Christi and Cory were calm and looked to me to find a way to keep going. We found another beautiful place for family photos while we waited for the other couple to finish their portraits.
Looking back on their day, my favorite thing was all the amazing gifts they used to show how much they loved each other. The beautiful blue Rosary beads Christi held tight in her hand throughout the ceremony as her something borrowed and something blue and something old, were borrowed from Cory’s mother. Christi’s mom, stepmom and mother in law all provided her with things to wear on her wedding day. Even her stepdad gifted her a set of earrings and a necklace by Kendra Scott which she wore down the aisle.
Christi had a daddy daughter moment all of their own where Christi gifted him with a special tie that read, “Daddy, Thank you for walking by my side today and always,. I loved you first.” Although her stepmom couldn’t make it to the wedding, she did get to spend a few moments on the phone with Christi while she was getting ready. The whole day was filled with so much love!
Congrats to Christi and Cory! And thanks for letting us be part of your day!
I didn’t know raw diamond rings were a thing, did you? I love raw stones and Christi’s 3 rock raw diamond by Jill with Artifactum is one of the most unique rings I’ve ever seen.
I’m loving Christi’s fitted lace dress she found at Cordially Invited. Christi said her dress was everything she thought it would NOT be but she absolutely loves it! It’s elegant and makes her feel beautiful. When a bride feels beautiful she glows just like Christi is here!
Her bridal bouquet, by Flowers by Katie was filled with white roses and peonies which made it so simple yet stunning with all white flowers and greenery. The little hints of pink on the edges of the peonies perfectly matched Christi’s reception dress.
