Brooke and Cameron’s beach wedding came together with the help of almost all of their loved ones. Everyone supported them by making all the food, the decorations, table settings, bouquet and the altar. The beach house was partially owned by a family member. You can tell two people are right for each other when those who love them most will do whatever it takes to make their wedding day perfect. Congrats Brooke and Cameron!
Tami and Ben fell in love with my photography style and knew I would be the perfect fit as their photographer when they found out that I love USC. Half my family went to college there (the other half went to UCLA – true story). While you wouldn’t think that my passion for USC would matter to an Orange County couple having a tropical themed wedding, it did. Tami grandfather went to USC and had a huge passion for the school and their sports teams. He passed away before the wedding so Tami hired the USC marching band to play at their reception to honor her grandfather. It was beautiful!
This entire Laguna Beach, California wedding, hosted on the California shores, was filled with fun tropical details from start to finish. With Leies in the ceremony, Mai Tai’s as the drink of the night and so many more amazing details, this wedding was truly a hit for all of us. I really felt at home (my mom’s home) at this wedding. My mom is USC meets Hawaii. This was truly one of the most memorable weddings I will ever photograph, and to think that they did this on a tight budget. I hope all my brides out there see how meaningful, fun and gorgeous a budget wedding can be if you really put your heart into like Tami and Ben did. I know they are going to live a beautiful life together!
Maria and E invited the immediate family to join them as they elope! Josh’s dad performed the ceremony, Josh (and our 7 month old, Caleb) were on video duty while I was in charge of photos. It was a whole family ordeal and we totally pulled it off! I’m so happy for these two! It was truly a magical day filled with joy and love from the whole family!
Sunflowers and the sea. These two love birds chose sunflowers and the blue sea as their theme for their brightly colored ocean wedding in Southern California. The beach ceremony took place in the sand up against the rocks which created a cozy and private feeling along the busy coast. It was so much fun to be able to take portraits in the shiny wet sand along the beach. I loved how much blue and yellow I found along the streets and the coast. Even the lifeguard towers were their color of blue! They danced the night away at Cardiff by the Sea before going back to the heart filled charming honeymoon suite. Congrats Matt _ Melissa! You guys are so sweet and I can’t wait to take more photos of you guys as you spend your lives together!
Amanda and Natu had the most amazing beach wedding in Long Beach, California. It was truly a Hawaiian wedding. Not only did the groom and groomsmen wear white, but they also had traditional Hawaiian leis and Hawaiian dancers at the reception for entertainment. Everyone had a blast and it was a beautiful day!
While waiting in line for Splash Mountain at Disneyland, my two friends asked me to be their wedding photographer. It was like this magical moment in the magic kingdom and almost felt like a dream. Iʼve photographed weddings as a second photographer before, but this was my first wedding on my own! Itʼs so amazing to have your friends see something in you and want you to be their photographer.
And guess what, their wedding was a dream.
We had so much fun getting ready for the day! It was so special to be there like one of the family members and be able to document all the fun and joy of the day. Seeing Joni in her flip flops and Alec in his converse really shows how casual and totally silly these two are. They are so perfect for each other!
Joni even spent months growing their centerpieces.
Morgan and Brenen are the sweetest couple! They are young and in love and so full of life. When we met, I knew we would have a blast photographing these two so we opted for 2 engagement sessions instead of one. After hanging around them and getting to know them, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day.
Morgan looked absolutely beautiful in her fitted strapless dress. I love the pops of purple she chose too! My favorite detail of the day was the cake that Morgan’s aunt made them. It was super beautiful and a wonderful gift for the bride and groom.
What I thought was super fun was having a bride and groom asking if we could spend an hour after the wedding venturing out with the wedding party for extra fun bridal party photos. How cool is that! Um, yes please! We had so much fun getting some really amazing photos along the rocky shore. It was perfect!
Ciseal is one of my best friends from film school. I watched her start her relationship with Paul and soon fall in love. When they decided to have a small wedding at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Oxnard, CA I was so thrilled for them! And as her bestie and the person who taught her everything she needed to know about photography, of course she trusted me to photograph her wedding. I feel so blessed to be have captured the joy and sweetness of each moment of their special day.
