Matt + Melissa

Sunflowers and the sea. These two love birds chose sunflowers and the blue sea as their theme for their brightly colored ocean wedding in Southern California. The beach ceremony took place in the sand up against the rocks which created a cozy and private feeling along the busy coast. It was so much fun to be able to take portraits in the shiny wet sand along the beach. I loved how much blue and yellow I found along the streets and the coast. Even the lifeguard towers were their color of blue! They danced the night away at Cardiff by the Sea before going back to the heart filled charming honeymoon suite. Congrats Matt _ Melissa! You guys are so sweet and I can’t wait to take more photos of you guys as you spend your lives together!

Tommy + Vanessa

My job just gets better and better! A Disneyland wedding dream!! Tommy and Vanessa are the most chill bride and groom anyone could ask for. They love Hollywood, drama and awesome effects so of course they are fans of Disneyland. When it can time to get married, they decided on a try Disney wedding, and they didnʼt skimp!

We had so much fun capturing all the normal details of the day and perfect moments, but truly came alive when it was time for the Disneyland moments! Not only did we get to stand in front of the A (for their last name), but we also got take photos of their personalized brick! If only we could have gone in the park…. but then we wouldnʼt have been able to enjoy their magical reception at the Disney hotel!

Complete with Cinderella’s slipper on top of the cake, this truly was a magical wedding!

Maggie and Steve

Itʼs wedding day in Costa Mesa/Newport Beach Country Club! Like every wedding I started the day documenting the ladies getting ready. What I wasnʼt prepared for was seeing dad hanging out with amazing daughter and loving every minute of girl time.

Did you see that look her gave her as he walked her down then aisle? This dad and daughter have a fun connection that will never be lost!

Everyone seemed overjoyed to have Maggie and Steve finally join together as husband and wife. I loved seeing the smiles, laughter and pure joy spill out from everyone!

Ismael and Miriam

There is something very romantic about a Catholic wedding, especially when red is the color of the day.

Dulce and Chris

Dulce is a photographer friend of mine who I absolutely adore. We met when she was dating Joshʼs old roommate. We were always hanging out together with our boys and we become great friends. Then she met Chris and fell in love! Knowing that she wanted a photographer she could trust for her wedding day, she asked me (and Josh) to be there to photograph every moment.

It was a simple backyard wedding full of joy! I can not get enough of the photos of Dulce and her grandparents crying after the ceremony. Sheʼs going to remember their joy forever!!

Ashley and Erin

I just have to say that this was the most fun wedding Iʼve been to! I even was able to dance with my fun bride, Ashley, out on the dance floor as we captured fun candids of their crew having fun!

Ashely and Erin are so much fun! Tivoli Too was an amazing location since they could have all their guests at one place all night long, making it so easy for everyone to have fun. We met up with the couple for a few getting ready shots at the hotel up the street. Ashely loved the gazebo at the hotel and asked if we could do a first look and photos at the gazebo. Of course!! And they are beautiful! After words, we met up with the family and wedding party at Tivoli Too for group photos. What a fun group! The ladies even did jumping photos.

I have to say, outdoor nighttime ceremonies are the hardest to photograph. I never want to be a distraction to the guests with flashes going off all the time so we had to really choose the best time to take each photo. I think Josh and I did an amazing job capturing all the fun of a Catholic-Jewish wedding ceremony.

Even though their ceremony was a little tough, their reception was easy, beautiful and so much fun!! I love all the emotion-filled candids we were able to capture!

How gorgeous is their cake? The grand display stand that Tivoli Too provided totally complements their 3 tier wedding cake. And the flowers just pop!

Alec and Joni

While waiting in line for Splash Mountain at Disneyland, my two friends asked me to be their wedding photographer. It was like this magical moment in the magic kingdom and almost felt like a dream. Iʼve photographed weddings as a second photographer before, but this was my first wedding on my own! Itʼs so amazing to have your friends see something in you and want you to be their photographer.
And guess what, their wedding was a dream.
We had so much fun getting ready for the day! It was so special to be there like one of the family members and be able to document all the fun and joy of the day. Seeing Joni in her flip flops and Alec in his converse really shows how casual and totally silly these two are. They are so perfect for each other!
Joni even spent months growing their centerpieces.

Morgan + Brenen

Morgan and Brenen are the sweetest couple! They are young and in love and so full of life. When we met, I knew we would have a blast photographing these two so we opted for 2 engagement sessions instead of one. After hanging around them and getting to know them, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day.

Morgan looked absolutely beautiful in her fitted strapless dress. I love the pops of purple she chose too! My favorite detail of the day was the cake that Morgan’s aunt made them. It was super beautiful and a wonderful gift for the bride and groom.

What I thought was super fun was having a bride and groom asking if we could spend an hour after the wedding venturing out with the wedding party for extra fun bridal party photos. How cool is that! Um, yes please! We had so much fun getting some really amazing photos along the rocky shore. It was perfect!
